Glenn Morrison – Blue Skies With Linda (Original Mix)

16 06 2008

Start this new week with a punchy yet strange tune produced by Glen Morrison ‘Blue Skies’. It has been selected several times by Armin van Buuren in his now famous A State of Trance (ASOT).

Peaceful ambience track + constant rhythm + slight touches of distorted harp is the magic potion for making this tune so esthetic and relaxing.

Very good to listen to especially on Mondays, the day when we all feel like shit!

Can also be listened to in background when you have a long call with your GF/BF ;)

Solarstone – Solar Coaster (Airbase Remix)

15 06 2008

Again a penetrating vocal trance track with ‘Solar Coaster’ produced by Solarstone and remixed by Airbase.

Soft melody, strange spatial voice built on an energetic rhythm.

Nice combination of softness and acceleretad beats the whole supported by distant waves on keyboards. The flow is good.

Try it if you are feeling down. It will certainly reboost you!

Darren Tate – Let The Light Shine In (Original Vocal Mix)

15 06 2008

On Sunday morning one needs relaxation and serenity after maybe your ears full of beats and burdens of last night’s rave…

Wake up gently with Darren Tate and their fantastic ‘Let The Light Shine In’. Very soft melody yet beautiful female voice and absolutely poetic lyrics. I bet anything you’ll feel in love in 7:53 minutes. Pure vocal trance! Moreover it’s kinda dancing.

Feel happy, listen to trance.

First State – Sacred (Original Mix)

15 06 2008

Difficult sometimes to differentiate trance, from progressive or uplifting… Here is a track with a wonderful tune that will keep on buzzing and buzzing in your head.

‘Sacred’ by First State has got something sad yet beautiful in its insisting and melodic flow. In a way the electric guitar-like melody reminds me some old hard FM tunes of the 80’s typically those played by bands like Europe (remember? “It’s the final countdown”)

This tune is particularly well carved and quite sophisticated in the arrangements despite it sounds a little classical in regard with the way Trance has evolved these recent years. But it’s a real pleasure to hear it again and again. I would compare it to Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Tocata & Fugue”. If I dare

Paul Oakenfold – Silence

14 06 2008

Why not starting the weekend and prepare oneself to the Saturday night rave with a cool vocal trance tune?

Progressive melody, rounded beat, sensual ’soul’ female voice… all the necessary ingredients put together by Paul Oakenfold’s talent in this track: ‘Silence’ to feel hope and confidence in yourself.

Let you invade by this emotional ‘Silence’, it is definitely an anthem!
